Sooooo much food, good food. This was the Lovers Ln location. Expect a wait, even with calling in. I had "The Catch" stuffed turkey leg. Very tender. The gumbo was pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the peach cobbler, however. I personally like light, flakey dough, not the thick dough that's common. The location on Lovers is a to-go only spot. The new location on Preston Rd has dining.
Ordered the catfish and Cajun turkey leg. The flavor was really good and the amount of food on the turkey leg was quite surprising! It was so much! The service doesn't really stand out, they work to get your order done but I have to say, it's VERY slow. It took about 10 minutes to place an order then about 50 minutes to receive the order. I would recommend ordering ahead but then it may not be super hot. Not sure, maybe today was an anomaly and a result of short staffing? Not sure. This is a takeout place so be prepared to wait. The food is good, though.
